Find Your Tribe

You can not go anywhere these days without hearing something about your "tribe." Do you KNOW if you even HAVE a Tribe or if you do, WHO they are?

FIND YOUR TRIBE

"YOU KNOW, THE ONES THAT MAKE YOU FEEL THE MOST YOU. THE ONES THAT LIFT YOU UP AND HELP YOU REMEMBER WHO YOU REALLY ARE. THE ONES THAT REMIND YOU THAT A BLIP IN THE ROAD IS JUST THAT, A BLIP. THEY ARE THE ONES THAT WHEN YOU WALK OUT OF A ROOM, THEY MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE A BETTER PERSON THAN WHEN YOU WALKED IN. THEY ARE THE ONES THAT EVEN IF YOU DON'T SEE THEM FACE TO FACE AS OFTEN AS YOU'D LIKE, YOU SEE THEM HEART TO HEART. YOU KNOW, THAT KIND OF TRIBE?

WHO'S YOUR TRIBE?"

Jennifer Pastiloff

Recently, the RSP (Really Smart People) will tell you that you are the sum total of the 5 people you spend the most time with aside from your workplace. I hope you are happy with them because they SHOULD be your tribe. I know I am happy with mine. I can not spend enough time with them. They REALLY get me, they understand all of me, and somehow STILL love me! Please take stock of YOUR top 5 and make sure they reflect who YOU want in your life and act how YOU want to be reflective of you and that they would ALWAYS have your back, no matter what.
My tribe loves me, celebrates all my life successes,  prays for me or my family when we need it, corrects me when I am wrong and forgives me anyway, bottom line is I know they are just a phone call away!

So....take stock and FIND YOUR TRIBE!

You Look MAAHHVELOUS!

As I begin my journey to my hairstylist for an overhaul (color, cut, style, etc), I can not help but smile with anticipation. This is a treat that everyone should experience as having a professional make you look your best is priceless! When you leave the salon, you are smiling, your confidence level is soaring, you feel you can take on the world...and truth be told, you can! Now...if we could just translate this into the business world....hmmm. Well...the good news is you can! By practicing 3 daily habits, you can transform yourself everyday at home. How? 1. Read the likes of John Maxwell (my personal favorite) as he is both uplifting and real about leadership:how to develop into one, grow, and mentor and foster others. 2. Daily devotion time: Pray, give thanks, and turn over your cares and concerns to God. After all, he formed you for a purpose. It is said that we all have everything inside us for our mission in life. We just need development. As a person undergoing that develop...

Making A Difference

Doesn't everyone want to feel like they are making a difference in this world? I know I do! I have met some powerful people this past week who are DEFINITELY making a difference in the world by mentoring, helping the disabled, helping non-profits raise much needed funds, helping restore local treasures, and helping heal broken relationships. What are YOU doing to  make a difference? Need a place to plug in? There is a Senior Job and Volunteer Fair coming up on Tuesday, September 12 in Frisco from 10-3. Maybe you attend and find a place that speaks to you so that you can start volunteering. Maybe your company is looking for some new talent and could look to hire active adult seniors with tons of life experience. This wonderful event is being held at the Frisco Senior Center and is sponsored by The Senior Services Alliance of Frisco, a group of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce. Check this out at www.frisocchamberofcommerce.com Our firm is also sponsoring the Silent Auction Tent a...

Pay It Forward Friday

Now....I know what you may be thinking....ok...who does she want me to give money to now? Well....I want to tell you about my friend Joe. He owns an Automotive Shop in my city, and yes, he has helped our family many, many times...but that is not why I am writing about Joe. Joe started a practice of Pay It Forward Friday at his shop and he continues today. Joe now has two locations and is very active in both Chambers of Commerce and in many Veterans Groups as well. He began this practice because he is fully aware of the need to give back to the community. Where ever Joe is, whether he sees someone that he feels deserves a meal on him, or someone severely needing help, he is there. He recently went and cooked for the Firefighters in a nearby city just to show them that he cares, that WE all care. This goes WAY beyond paying for the person behind you in line at Starbucks, which is a great idea as well. But, you get the idea..... There are two verses that come to mind, Luke 12:48 state...
